Pompeii
The cargo steamer POMOEJI of the Deutsche Levante Line was built in 1940 by the Flensburger Schiffbaugesellschaft and from 1942 sailed under the flag of Bock, Godeffroy & Co. After World War II, the freighter became British war booty and was named EMPIRE BLACKWATER. In 1947 the US Maritime Commission took over the ship and sold the freighter to Denmark in 1949. Under the name KRUSAA, the ship changed hands several times in Denmark until it was sold to Finland in 1960 and renamed KRUCIA. In 1969 the owner changed in Finland and the freighter was renamed HELVI. From 1971 she sailed as EASTERN FAITH under the Panama flag and was canceled in 1975 in Koahssiung in December 1975.
