The plan set consists of 3 panels and shows the ship in a line plan, side and deck views, bow and stern views as well as cross-sections and many details. The plan was created by measuring a shipyard model.
Beowulf
SMS BEOWULF was commissioned as an armored ship IV class from Werft AG Weser. On April 11th, 1892 the ironclad was put into service. In the years 1902-1904 the BEOWULF was lengthened by 7.13 m and received new boilers and a second chimney. After the outbreak of war, the ship was assigned to the coastal defense. In 1916, BEOWULF was a target ship for submarines. After a brief use as an icebreaker, the ironclad was finally decommissioned on June 17th, 1919 and broken up in Gdansk in 1921.
