The ferry steamer MÖNCKEBERG of the Hamburger Hafen-Dampfschifffahrts-Aktien-Gesellschaft was built in 1910 at the JHN Wichhorst shipyard. Sister ships were the NEUMEYER and the JS BACH. The three sister ships were used in the port of Hamburg in the ferry service and in the great harbor tour. The MÖNCKEBERG drove for HADAG until 1955. It was then sold to the Paul Berendson company for demolition. In 1957 the NEUMEYER, which was sunk by aerial bombs during the Second World War, was sold to the Hugo Sievers company in Cuxhaven and used in diving operations. In the same year the JS BACH was sold to the Norderwerft in Hamburg. There the ship was used to generate steam.
